A temporary installation for the 2023 Seattle Design Festival explores curiosity through perspective and time. Rotating mirrors attached to a modular unistrut frame invites physical interaction. We challenge our visitors to imagine the perspective of another. As time elapses, the installation undergoes subtle transformations that mark the position of a human body in space.
The design employs a unistrut frame as a pre-fabricated kit of pars. Off the shelf components were donated and re-used by an electrical subcontractor. Our design ethic was inspired by a long history of Miller Hull Partnership utilizing off the shelf building materials in innovative ways.
Supported by Miller Hull Partneship LLP, Hoffman Construction, and Valley Electric. Designed by Jonathan Nelson and Nick Clesi with support from Tobias Jimenez, Duy Dang, Rob Kuentzel, Jenny Hong, and Japneet Pawha.
