Soundforms is a speculative study into the tools and instruments of architectural sound representation. In reaction to the standardization of sound sense data used to design architectural building products, these recursive drawings and models visualize the energy exchanges that occur on a tactile and material level.
The authorship of new tools carries the possibility of renegotiating the role of representation in an iterative design process. A subjective framework of sound representation embraces indeterminacy and chance, challenging the authority that the discipline of architecture holds over listening.
